Machining & Finishing
Powder coating is a commmon finishing application for die castings. At Cast Well we machine and finish what we cast to give the customer a part ready for assembly. Many of the operations can be done in-house, others can be contracted and handled by us on behalf of the customer. We deal only with reputable houses that have proven their quality performance, punctual delivery and competitive prices to us over years of mutual cooperation. Sometimes, we can use our leverage with them to obtain concessions that our customers may not be able to get.
In house operations include:
Drilling - To any practical diameter.
Tapping - up to 2 1/2" diameter.
Reaming - up to 2 1/2" diameter.
Surfacing - To achieve flatness, parallelism, fine surfaces, etc.
Milling - To remove telltale signs of gates, create needed undercuts, etc.
Sanding - To complement outcomes of trimming and vibratory finish on unique parts.
Vibratory finish - To give that final "good to the touch" feel to a casting.
Ball burnishing - To give esthetic point-of-sale shine to a part in as cast condition.
Machined parts.
CNC machining - when ultimate precision is required.
Plating - With and without polishing; barrel or rack; from zinc chromate to full copper-nickel-chrome; in bright or satin finish; antiquing; etc.
Painting - E-coat; powder coat; with or without masking; etc.
Other operations - Vacuum metallizing; anodizing; impregnating, testing; x-ray; etc.

The list seems endless. The customers' goal is our only guide.
